किसी भी भवन का वास्तु संतुलन करने के लिये सर्वप्रथम कलर थैरेपी इस्तेमाल की जाती है, यानि कि भवन में सभी दिशाओं की दीवारें कौन-कौन से रंगों से रंगी गई हैं उसके आधार पर वास्तु का सन्तुलन देखा जाता है। ऐसा इसलिये क्योंकि सभी दिशाओं के अपने-अपने अनुकूल और प्रतिकूल रंग होते हैं। यदि आपने किसी भी दिशा में प्रतिकूल रंग किया हुआ है तो उस दिशा में असन्तुलन हो जाता है जिसके फलस्वरूप आपको उस दिशा से फायदा नहीं मिल पाता है।
इसके सर्वप्रथम भवन की दीवारों पर दिशाओं के आधार पर अनुकूल रंग करना होता है, परन्तु यदि आप दीवारों का रंग बदलने में असमर्थ हैं तो आप उस दिशा में उसके अनुकूल रंग के पर्दे भी लगा सकते हैं, यह पूरी तरह तो नहीं परन्तु काफी हद तक यह वास्तु को बैलेन्स करने में मदद करता है।
