दक्षिण दिशा का स्वामी मंगल होने के कारण इस दिशा के भूखंड पर निम्न व्यवसाय फलते-फूलते हैं-
खाने-पीने की सभी वस्तुओं का संबंध सीधे तौर पर मंगल ग्रह से है अतः मंगल की शुभ स्थिति फलदायी होती है। इसके अतिरिक्त निम्न सेवायें भी दइस तरह के भूखंड पर लाभदायक रहती हैं-
इस भूखंड पर यदि गैस अथवा पेट्रोल से सम्बन्धित कार्य किया जाता है तो निम्न बातों का ध्यान रखना चाहिये।
गैस पर मंगल का अधिकार है इसलिये गैस एजेंसी के व्यवसाय में गैस के सिलेंडर दक्षिण दिशा में रखना उचित होता है। गैस के सिलेंडर नैऋत्य दिशा की ओर न रखें क्योंकि राहु नैऋत्य दिशा का स्वामी है तथा गैस मंगल का प्रतीकात्मक वस्तु है। इस हिसाब से दोनों के संयोग होने से अंगारक योग का निर्माण होता है। जिस कारण सिलेंडर फटना या गैस रिसाव जैसी घटनाएं होती हैं। पश्चिम की दिशा की ओर भी सिलेंडर न रखें। क्योंकि पश्चिम दिशा का स्वामी शनि है जो मंगल का शत्रु ग्रह है। अतः दोनों का एक साथ में दुर्घटना एवं परेशानियां देता है।
पेट्रोल पम्प मंगल के अधिकार क्षेत्र में आता है इसलिए इसका स्टोरेज भूखंड के आग्नेय या दक्षिण के क्षेत्र में रखना सबसे उपयुक्त होता है। पेट्रोल का स्टोरेज भूखंड के नैऋत्य एवं पश्चिम क्षेत्र में बिल्कुल नहीं रखना चाहिये। राहु एवं शनि से मंगल का शत्रुवत् संबंध होता है जिसके फलस्वरूप विपरीत घटना घटने की संभावना बनी रहती है।
