सभी लोगों के घर में न चाहते हुये भी कुछ ऐसा सामान होता है जो इस्तेमाल तो नहीं होता परन्तु घर में जरूर रहता है, या फिर कुछ ऐसा सामान होता है जो कभी-कभी इस्तेमाल होता है। इसके अतिरिक्त कुछ कबाड़ टाईप का सामान होता है जिसका अक्सर सभी लोग यही करते हैं कि अभी कुछ और सामान इकट्ठा हो तब इसको बाहर कर देंगे या कबाड़ में बेच देंगे।
इसके कुछ लोग सामान को यूं ही घर के किसी भी हिस्से में रख देते हैं या किसी खाली पड़े कमरे में डाल देते हैं, परन्तु कुछ घरों में इसके लिये एक छोटा सा कमरा यानि स्टोर रूम अलग से भी बनवाया जाता है।
यहां यह बताना भी जरूरी है कि बेकार पड़ा सामान भी यदि घर में सही जगह नहीं रखा गया है तो ये आपकी परेशानी का कारण बन जाता है। इसलिये हमेशा इस बात का ध्यान देना चाहिए कि घर में स्टोर रूम सही दिशा में बनाना चाहिये। क्योंकि इस तरह का सामान तरफ तो नकारात्मक उर्जा बढ़ाता है और इसके साथ ही सकारात्मक उर्जा को कम करता है।
यदि आपने उत्तर से पूर्व दिशा के किसी भी क्षेत्र में स्टोर रूम बनाया है तो यह मकान में रहने वाले परिवार के सदस्यों की सोच का प्रभावित करता है, उनके कार्य करने की क्षमता में कमी लाता है। और उनकी रचनात्मक शक्ति को कम करता है। उनकी सोच बहुत ही संकीर्ण हो जाती है और वे ज्यादा बड़े कामों को न तो सोच पाते हैं और न ही कर पाते हैं।
यहां पर रखा हुआ भारी-भरकम सामान आपके सामाजिक रिश्तों को कमजोर करता है और आपकी सोच में नकारात्मक विचार लाने लगता है। साथ ही यह आपकी सेहत के साथ भी खिल्वाड़ करता है। इसलिये इस दिशा में स्टोर रूम बिल्कुल भी नहीं बनाना चाहिये।
बल्कि उत्तर से लेकर पूर्व तक की दिशा को खुला रखना चाहिये और इस दिशा में हल्का सामान ही रखना चाहिये।
